Meredith D. Bush is the founder and managing attorney of Meredith Bush Law. She is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in City, County, and Local Government Law and is also an AICP Certified Planner. Her combined legal and planning credentials give her a distinctive perspective on matters involving land use, zoning, development, government regulation, property rights, and public decision-making.

Meredith has nearly two decades of legal experience. Before entering private practice, she spent more than ten years in public service as an Assistant Public Defender for Florida’s First Judicial Circuit, a Senior Attorney for the Florida Department of Children and Families, and an Assistant County Attorney for Escambia County. As an Assistant County Attorney, she advised the Board of County Commissioners and numerous County departments and boards on land use, procurement, public records, Sunshine Law, employment, administrative law, code enforcement, contracts, and litigation.

Meredith entered private practice in 2019 and spent five years with Clark Partington, where she focused on environmental, land use, real estate, and local government matters. Her work has included representing private property owners, businesses, developers, governmental entities, public boards, and special districts throughout Northwest Florida.

She has tried more than 25 jury trials to verdict and has extensive experience in bench trials, administrative hearings, quasi-judicial proceedings, appeals, negotiations, and mediations. She regularly appears before courts, local governments, boards, and administrative agencies.

Meredith earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2006. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mobile in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, History, and Spanish. She is admitted to practice in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.

Meredith’s community involvement includes serving as Board Chair of AMIkids Pensacola and as a board member of Pace Center for Girls. She is also involved with the Rotary Club of Pensacola, IMPACT 100, and the Pensacola Women’s Alliance. She lives in Pensacola with her husband, Tim, and is deeply invested in the community the firm serves.
